BROW FAQ
How to decide between tint or henna?
Any coloring treatment includes a custom-blended tint/henna color mixed specifically to your requirements and skin tone.
Everyone responds to the semi-permanent pigments differently so results will vary. Depending if you have gaps or not your brow stylist will be able to recommend the best color treatment for you.
We suggest that you start with regular tint if this is your first time to see which product will last longer on your eyebrows.
Due to henna being an organic product, more people tend to have adverse reactions to it. So, we recommend you get a patch test prior to henna. We are able to perform this patch test when you come in for your brow design.
Is brow lamination good me?
- Eyebrow lamination is safe for all skin types and for anyone with eyebrow hairs.
- Anyone looking to improve the overall look of their brows
- Anyone with sparse brows or those who are growing out their brows
- Anyone not ready to commit to microblading or permanent makeup
- Anyone with unruly, stubborn brow hairs
How long does tinting/henna last?
We recommend getting your brows done every 1-2 weeks to maintain shape.
Tint and henna lasts anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks on your eyebrows.
How long does brow lamination last?
Brow lamis last anywhere between 4-8 weeks. As new growth comes in, your brows will go back to their natural shape.
To maintain results, we recommend getting your brows laminated every 4 weeks.
How does brow lamination work?
- We start out by applying a gentle, skin safe lotion to your eyebrows that will relax the hair.
- Then, we position them them into a shape that first, fits your style and routine but also, makes them look much fuller and even.
- Next, we set the hairs in place with a nourishing formula.
- Finally we style them with a brow gel and finalize with make up to highlight your new brow shape. Resulting in beautiful brows that will leave everyone wondering what is your secret!
How does tanning affect my brows?
The tanning ingredients can react with the tint and alter the color. As part of your brow tint aftercare, we recommend that you avoid anything that contains tan or tanning agents.
We recommend avoiding fake tan for three days before and after your treatment.
Can I get an eyebrow tint/laminated while pregnant?
It is not recommended that you tint or laminate your eyebrows when pregnant, breastfeeding or undergoing IVF. Changes in hormones can leave you more prone to a reaction.
How long does a brow appointment take?
Depending if you would like to add semi-permanent color to your brows, this appointment can take 20 to 40 minutes. This includes measuring, removal of excess hair, trimming, shaping and defining your eyebrows with makeup.
If you are getting your eyebrows laminated, all of the steps above plus lamination process is included and it takes around 45 min to 1 hour to complete.

Products and procedures contraindicated for eyebrow wax
We use a gentle wax specially formulated for your eyebrows and face, however, if you use the following medications, your risk of lifting skin and leading to a painful experience is very likely so please respect the waiting periods recommended after using any of the following:
- Retinol, Retin-A, retinoic acid – 3 days to 1 week. Regardless of area of application or area of concern.
- Hydroquinone – 1 week.
- Steroids/Antibiotics – 3 months.

- Accutane, Roaccutane, Isotretinoin, – 1 year.

We recommend the above waiting periods if you use any of the above medications because they can cause the skin to become hypersensitive and cause painful reactions to waxing like lifting and/or scarring.
